Chains of Command ((Sign-Ups open!))

This is the currently what's going on:

• The story takes place about a month after the Shattering of Azeroth.
• The starting location is Silithus, but it may move beyond it as the story progresses and evolves.
• It will take place in an Earthen Ring camp stationed in Silithus.
• Even though shamans will be involved predominantly in the beginning, it will be open to all classes.
• The intro story will provide more information. Intro posted!
• Feel free to ask questions, but I'm still developing the intro and backbone.
• Notices about help being needed by this Earthen Ring expedition can be found in surrounding population centers in Kalimdor.

I'd like to hold off on signups until the second part is posted. The second part will better explain what to expect. I'm about 50% done with it and it should be well before the holiday weekend.

The basic premise is that an Earthen Ring settlement in Silithus is looking for help. They're facing a possible attack. However, there is also unrest within as two leaders are vying for power of the expedition. There's a bit of mystery going on as well.

I'd like writers who are willing to be proactive. My path for this story isn't set in stone and I don't mind a well thought out wrench or two. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to IM me, or PM here in this forum. This thread will serve as signups as well.

Name: Mattaka Kokayi
Race: Troll (Darkspear)
Gender: Male
Profession: Druid of the Cenarion Circle (Recently risen from the rank of apprentice)
Description: About average height for a troll, but a bit stockier. He has long messy green hair that's usually in a mohawk, light leather armor, and only a skinning knife for a weapon. His skin is more green than blue, and he has tusks about 6 inches long that curve down and out. He spends a great deal of time in his tiger form and occasionally he is in bear form. Both have a dark, mossy green fur that blend well in the more forested areas of the Eastern Kingdoms. Occasionally, if he feels like doing it, he'll mask his face in white face paint traditionally for the Darkspear tribe.

Sorry if I sorta highjacked that there, but for anyone intrepid enough, there's probably a blood trail to follow, and Mattaka didn't really hide them really well.

Description: Average draenei height, thin and non-athletic. Purple complexion. Four appendages extending from the back of his head, semi-hidden by shoulder-length, dark brown hair. Forehead crestbone. Wears brown robes and emblazoned with Earthen Ring insignia. Wields an unadorned oak staff. Rodoq Sanvad occupies Tahirus' body after a magic process involving a Titan artifact disrupted a preexisting enchantment Tahirus had put on himself, trading the places of their souls when Tahirus had imprisoned Rodoq, his brother-turned-man'ari, in a spellbook in a Karazhan library.

Race: Dwarf (Wildhammer)
Gender: Male
Profession: Senate of Ironforge agent (Rogue)
Description: Average dwarf height, muscled and athletic. Tan complexion. His head is shaved and his red-orange beard is trimmed to stubble. Brown eyes. Wears blacked-out leather armor for maximum mobility and maintaining a low profile while in the field. Armed with a bolt-action rifle, two forearm-length combat daggers, and accessories of the rogue trade (poisons, smoke bombs, etc.)

And here are the characters I'll be featuring at this time... because I completely forgot to create a sign-up for myself.

Name: Azgard Bloodtusk
Race: Orc
Gender: Male
Profession: Former officer of the Horde military. Shaman - specialized in combat. He's currently in charge of the defense of the settlement.
Description: He's about the average the height for most orcs. He's a bit more built then most shamans due to his military past, though. His gray hair is swept back and there are two pony tails that fall over his shoulders. One of his slightly yellowed tusks has a prominent ship in it and there's a sizable scar going down his right arm.

He usually wear's chain mail armor but seldom wears a helm. If you see him wearing pauldrons, you know the situation has become critical. Along with a large, double-blade two-hand axe, he also carries a pair of smaller throwing axes.



Name: Niashado
Race: Draenei
Gender: Female
Profession: Shaman - unspecialized. She's currently the provisional leader of settlement.
Description: Niashado's lanky form is a little shorter than most draenei. Her skin tone is darkish blue and her horns are curved downward. She's usually seen wearing greyish/tan robes around the settlement. Outside of the settlement, she usually wears a brown/green heavy leather kilt and jerkin that appears made in kal'dorei style.

She usually has her staff with her and a set of four small crystaline totems hanging from the belt of her robes.

Race: Troll (Darkspear)
Gender: Female
Profession: Shaman (Apprentice)
Description: Yevana is approx. fourteen years-old and tall for a troll her age. Her skin is bluish-green and her dark purple hair is done up in long thin braids. She usually wears simple robes or leather armor and her weapon of choice is a spear and a throwing axe.

(I was not intending to feature Yevana much in the story, but she turned out more popular then I had intended. )

Race: Orc
Profession: Leader of a Twilight Coven approx. twenty miles north-west of the Earthen Ring Settlement.
Description: Not very much is known about her. She keeps herself heavily cloaked and often hooded. Her skin tone is dark green. Two small tusks protrude from between her nearly black lips.

Race: Kaldorei
Gender: Female
Profession: Mage, scribe, herbalist
Description: Emmy is about 6'1” and slim, a bit below average height and weight for a night elf woman. She has flawless rose-tinted skin and long, forest green hair, which is always woven into an intricate braid over her shoulder, and which she often tugs on or plays with. Twin dark green wing tattoos pass through glowing silver eyes that regard most things with intense curiosity and amusement. Her slim, lithely-muscled frame is almost always draped with expensive gowns of fine cloth. She carries a long, ornate staff etched with runes. Violet sparks of pure arcane lightning dance from the elaborate, golden head. At her belt she carries a simpler knife for every day tasks.

Name: Lurena "Lulu"
Race: Darkspear Troll
Gender: Female
Profession: Rogue
Description: A young troll who is devoted to her friends and family that has found herself in numerous adventures time and time again. Since saving her mother from the clutches of the Dark Horde, sailing around the seas with her cousin-turned-pirate and helping a couple of night elves free their brother from a slaver in Booty Bay, the young troll figured that she wasn't going to be able to spend the rest of her days in peace and quiet in Sen'jin Village. She traveled to Northrend to discover the new land and fight alongside the other members of the Horde. When she returned from Northrend, her endeavors had brought her more gold than she cared to count. On top of the missions that she carried out for the Horde, she also took up some side work that delved into thievery and contracted hits.

The troll girl managed to keep some part of herself true. She refused to kill without proper reason; she was raised better than that. Just because she was a troll didn't mean she was a cold-hearted killer. So whenever she took up a contract to kill someone, she made sure to do enough research on her own to decide whether the target deserved to die or not. However, she enjoyed stealing with such relish that it became almost second nature to her. If there was something she wanted, she was more than likely able to get it.

As time passed, Lurena grew closer to her troll roots, which she had temporarily lost while growing up with tauren druids, family friends that were there for her when her mother was abducted. She became more superstitious, laughed more, danced harder, and found more places to stick bones in her hair than was necessary. She came to embrace who she had become despite once being ashamed of having to commit such sleazy acts to earn a coin. If she was good at what she did and was choosy with who she did it with, then there weren't any problems.

Standing tall at six feet and three inches with amber colored eyes, Lurena has since ditched her long, purple braided crest for smaller braids and a shock of purple hair. She still keeps her family's arrowhead necklace tied tightly around her neck; she had to break a blood elf's nose to get it back. Thin and limber, Lurena sticks to wearing dark armor with a skull emblazoned belt. She wields a pair of daggers and is quite taken by the art of alchemy and poison. Her blue skin is heavily scarred by past torture, but she doesn't let the memories hold her down as much as they used to. She had to grow up quickly to be able to hold her own.

Race: Draenei
Gender: Female
Profession: Healer, Wavespeaker, shaman of the Earthen Ring
Description: Aeri stands at about 6'9”, with a full, one could even say plump, figure. Her skin is almost pure white, as is her long hair, usually worn pulled up into lopsided pigtails. She has short horns that point straight upward. She has a lovely, sweet face, but her eyes are always closed. A small, curious smile usually curves her lips.

Her clothing is always simple and often mismatched, and she always has a long staff nearby. Four differently-colored crystals hang from the top of her staff. A small breeze surrounds her all the time, alerting her when anyone or anything draws too near. Her head always turns to follow whoever is speaking.

Well, here goes

Name: Alarde Windraiser
Race: Night Elf (deceased)
Gender: Male
Profession: Mercenary before death, now a death knight
Description: Alarde could have easily been described as a monster before his turning to the Scourge; standing at seven feet tall, incredibly muscular and strong, scarred from years of conflicts (in particular one massive, gruesome scar running the length of the left side of his face), and mentally unstable at best of times. Death did not yield many changes to the elf, apart form the fatal wounds inflicted before death and the usual for those who die; his once healthy, violet skin has paled and started to decay, and once white hair now stained with blood, ichors, and other assorted bodily fluids.

Most of Alarde’s heavy, saronite armor has been damaged or destroyed, not that his body needs much protection any more, making him appear more and more like a walking corpse as more armor disintegrates. Only his massive, katana-like rune blade remains intact with the usual six glowing runes on its faces, and something etched in darnassian into the pommel.

Name: Zelg Ironbore
Race: Goblin
Gender: Male
Profession: Weapon smith, sharpshooter (mercenary), both loosely associated with the Steamwheedle Cartel
Description: Zelg’s professions are represented perfectly by what he wears. A very worn pair of overalls with singe marks and stains, over what was once a fine white shirt, now stained a pale shade of yellow, both of which the result of spending hours upon hours designing and building various weapons. The goblin is almost never seen without his usual orange lensed goggles, with multiple knobs along the sides for low power magnification. Zelg stands at about 3’6”, is completely bald and has skin that is a dark, almost olive green and yellow eyes, along with a long and badly crooked nose (the result of a test firing accident).

For anything combat related, the goblin wears worn and singed rawhide armor with no real frills added, while his weaponry is what grabs attention. Every weapon Zelg uses for contracts is hand made in his shop located in Gadgetzan, and almost all are on the cutting edge of technology, ranging from pistols to high powered rifles, to a large number of devices designed to explode (grenades, rockets, mortars etc…). Unfortunately, the cost of his weapons being so advanced and radical costs Zelg dearly in the reliability department, making misfires and malfunctions almost assured with many of his creations.

Alarde Windraiser and Zelg Ironbore are accepted. Good to have a goblin in the group. And I'm sure Seya will be eager to make use of her very own death knight.

@ Everyone: I apologize about the slow updates. Things have been getting more hectic for me and I don't foresee myself slowing down until mid May. There will still be updates though and I welcome the writers to also do their own thing. I only have a rough plan of what's to happen. Other events are welcomed.

I like when wrenches get thrown in my RP ideas. It makes me think.
